Pressure Pumping Company Upgrades Fleet with SPM Oil & Gas Frac Pumps

FORT WORTH, TX (September 1, 2022) – SPM™ Oil & Gas, a leading upstream provider of pressure pumping, pressure control and power equipment and services, announced today a multi-year $58 million contract with a major pressure pumping company to upgrade its entire fleet with SPM™ WS 335 Frac Pumps. The pumps will be deployed in multiple basins across the Northeast and Southwest. 

The WS 335 offers the highest rod load in the industry and is the only pump in its footprint that can exceed 3000 horsepower. Its innovative, single-piece frame construction and ruggedly engineered components maximize reliability, safety and structural integrity. The unique monoframe design eliminates welds, dramatically reducing risk of failure and nonproductive time (NPT) compared to conventional welded designs.  

The WS 335 avoids lubrication failure with an optimized lubrication system featuring an integrated relief valve and on-board pressure regulation and filtration to deliver consistent oil pressure across critical components. Additionally, its redesigned gear set includes state-of-the-art larger pinion bearings and partial-groove journal bearings for longer-lasting performance.

SPM Oil & Gas exceeded the well service provider’s operational goals by taking a system-wide approach and designing trailers to ensure optimal performance for the frac pumps. As a result, the company’s trailers can now exceed 6,000 horsepower.
