17 Frac Pumps Turned Around in 10 Days
An oilfield service provider who runs their frac pumps at more than 12,000 psi had a tight timeframe to begin a new high-pressure, hi-rate frac job in the Permian Basin. The company turned to SPM Oil & Gas to inspect and prepare 17 frac pumps for the job – a process that would normally take more than 30 days.
The Midland team took an ‘all hands-on deck’ approach to the time-sensitive request and worked with the surrounding SPM Oil & Gas service centers in Ft. Worth and Kilgore. Service technicians conducted SPM Oil & Gas’ signature 13-point pump inspection on each piece of equipment, replaced necessary wear items and inspected each pump’s lubrication system, reporting the required maintenance actions to the oilfield services provider. Each pump’s performance was confirmed with a yard test.
The collaborative effort was successful, as the company’s 17 pumps were returned to them in just 10 days. As a result, the oilfield service provider started the frac job on time.
